Cisco UCS Platform Emulator – اکثر دوستانی که در رشته Cisco در حال تحصیل هستند، معمولا با مشکل تمرین بر روی UCS سیسکو مواجه هستند، البته این افراد دو دسته اند: یک دسته افرادی که در محل کار خود تجهیزات سیسکو ندارند و دسته دوم هم افرادی هستند که تجهیزات سیسکو در اختیار دارند، ولی یا اجازه کار با دستگاه ها را ندارند یا خودشان به علت حساسیت کار، دست به تمرین با آن دستگاه ها نمی زنند که به همین سبب نرم افزار های شبیه ساز طرفدار پیدا کرده اند، نرم افزار های زیادی برای شبیه سازی ساخته شده است. این نرم افزار یک ماشین مجازی با نسخه از لینوکس CentOS می باشد که می توان آن را در محیط های مجازی مانند VMware Workstation اجرا کرد.

CONFIGURATION IMPORT NOTE: Importing configuration backups (All, System, or Logical) taken from the UCS Platform Emulator (UCSPE) to physical UCS Manager domains is not recommended or supported by Cisco TAC. UCSPE backups should only be imported to UCSPE domains.
New Features and Significant Changes in Cisco UCS PE, Release 4.0(4ePE1)
- Full scale emulation of UCS Manager 4.0(4e) with support for 6454 Fabric Interconnects and C4200 Series Rack Server Chassis with C125 Rack Servers. Note that not all features present in UCS Manager 4.0(4e) are supported (see Known Limitations in the Release Notes).
- New default HW config with 6454 Fabric Interconnects and C4200 Series Rack Server Chassis added.
- Additional example Hardware configurations have been attached below. The attached UCSPE configs can be imported from the UCSPE Equipment page.
- UCSPE is featured in a Cisco dCloud programmability demo. The demo includes a comprehensive lab guide including the following content for Cisco UCS PowerTool and the Python SDK:
